Roborep1
So this is a 20 long. Never used a sponge. Is this normal or is this a very weak flow rate?Pump rated for 20 but perhaps I undersized? video attached = https://vimeo.com/135309939Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk JosephKex
h4n
Looks pretty normal to me. Could be a tad stronger but looks fine.
maylee
I use the same pump with my sponge filter and the flow looks to be about the same. I have the output above water as well although I don't know for sure whether it's the best position in terms of oxygenating the water or not. Greenteam
I was going to write a long winded reply but I happen to find a video that does the same thing I do to improve waterflow in mine. Skip the video to 2:40 and you can see exactly what I do. maylee, 35ppt and sarah

I just took apart a spare sponge filter I had laying around and can confirm the air hole is blocked if you don't pull the tubing up a bit like in this video. Thanks for posting. Now I'm curious to find out how much of an improvement there is by doing this. The only problem is taking the filter out to do it and hoping I don't create a mess.
