SeaCur
So my current setup is neos, in what's roughly 4 gallons. The substrate has gotten pretty dirty and I picked up water fleas and detritus worms from some place so I want to tear this tank down and move the shrimp to a 10 gallon that's been cycling for a little while now. What's the best method to do so? Do I have to get rid of my current driftwood/mosses? I also have a couple stem plants, can I give those a bleach dip or are those goners as well? DETAquarium
There are two routes I would go: I would scrap everything and start from fresh, new mosses, new driftwood, etc. This method would be best if you have spare material or additional funds. You could do a Hydrogen Peroxide and/or Excel concoction to help eliminate any unwanted pests, algae, etc.
RyeGuy411
I dont understand, water fleas and detritus worms are signs of a healthy tank but probably overfed. They are not harmful, why do you want to start over?
SeaCur
I feed rarely, and the tank is just very small. The ten gallon is half bare bottom so I can feed there more cleanly.
SeaCur
Beyond that the fleas are very unattractive to look at all the time. But I think I'm going to have a hard time getting the shrimp out and not the fleas.

SeaCur
Deep blue hob on the small tank. Haven't tested the params but I have media from another fully cycled tank in there and supplying with fish food for a couple weeks now.
