Prudence
Hi everyone! I'm wondering what water conditioners everyone uses for their shrimp. I do tap water which is about 200 TDS in my area and I treat with seachem prime. The prime raises TDS by a lot. My question is what TDS measurement do I go with, the one before I add prime or the one after?
swivel
I believe its the one after. I use to use prime and didn't know it raises the TDS. My shrimps starting dying off and I didn't know why. After I got my TDS meter, I found out it was well over 1000. I've since switched to RO water.
fish_guy
I never realized that Prime raises your TDS I am going to have to start checking it now But that explains why my panted tank has a TDS that is double my tap water
