Some of shrimps antennas is not clear and smooth as usual, antennas have some "knots" inside. Does anyone knows is this a some sort of disease or what? jimko Posted December 18, 2015 Report Share Posted December 18, 2015 No idea. That's a real close up shot. Neat. If you are trying to get rid of it. Try some aquarium salt. Take the affected shrimp out. Mix a solution of salt and tank water drop over affected area on a paper towel. Put the shrimp back in fresh tank water. Experiment with amount of salt you use. I've had these gnarly head worms when I first purchased Bloody Mary shrimp imported from c-sky and it did the trick. After a couple of treatments they all went away.
