ginger guy Posted January 13, 2017 Report Posted January 13, 2017 I currently have 6 Cherry shrimp on their way to me, now my only concern I have is I have 4 zebra and 2 longfin danios they are fairly peaceful with all of my other shrimp(10ghosts 2 amano all peaceful not even the ghost are territorial they just swim over eachother) and tank mates (2 oto and 2 nerite snails) I just want to know if my Cherry's will be OK with the daniosSent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk Quote
chappy6107 Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 if the shrimp can fit in their mouths they are not safe. Most likely they will eat the baby shrimp. The amano's can become aggressive. kind of like a Betta, some are some aren't. Quote
Tony_Shrimpster Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 I agree. The danios will most likely nip at the shrimps if anything. From experience, the only fish that I've had that didn't seem to bother shrimps were otos and panda loaches. Quote
ginger guy Posted January 29, 2017 Author Report Posted January 29, 2017 Well so far I've had no problems it's been over 2 weeks with no nipping or even showing interest(was keeping them well fed while introducing the RCS) The danios even seemed to protect my female when she was releasing her pheromones I could see them staying close but not too close and keeping my ghost shrimp away(they were just trying to walk past) even ignoring the males the are bumping into them and swimming right in front of their faces so hopefully all goes wellSent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk Quote
