hydrotherapy
Just filled up tank after a month of DSM, and filled the tank up last week. Have been doing 75% water changes everyday. I would like to know when I should introduce the BioDigest? And how often should I be using them? Currently have a 29 gallon with Amazonia light substrate, running an Eheim 2215. Plan on herding neocaridinas. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
OMG Aquatics
Add baking soda and exhaust the substrate. Do water changes every 2-5 days and add more baking soda until fully exhausted then 90%-100% water change. Fill it up and wait a few hours. If there are ammonia readings, add biodigest. If there aren't any ammonia readings, wait until you add the neocaridina before you add biodigest.
hydrotherapy
Thanks OMG. sorry, kind of new to this, but why add baking soda to exhaust the substrate?Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
chappy6107
your amazonia substrate will absorb the KH out of your water. This will lower your ph. typically neos are not kept in low ph water.
