Lily
Hello, I need help identifying the worms in my shrimp tank. They appeared after I added some new moss, which was imported from Asia. The worms are brown and 1 inch long. They stick vertically from the substrate. Please see pictures below, with a Ramshorn snail and shrimp for size comparison. I would like to know, are they dangerous to humans? How can I get rid of them? Thank you, I appreciate your help. Lily
JAMarlow
Bumping, because I hope someone can answer your questions (I don't have them, but I'm curious as to what you have). You were able to get really good pics of them!
wyzazz
These are just a form of Detritus Worm, nothing to be worried about. Cut down on feeding and let the tank settle in. Everything will find a balance in time.
