Is this Scutariella Japonica on the rostum?

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased some shrimp and I noticed a white cluster on the rostum area on one of them, I wonder if it is Scutariella Japonica.

Could anybody verify?

I plan to treat the problem with Genchem No Planaria and I wonder if that will work.

Thanks for reading.

Could be. Kind of hard to tell from the pics. Do they wriggle around?

Don't use No Planaria. Use an aquarium salt and RO or tank water solution in a bowl. Something like a 25% aquarium salt to water is enough I think. Net the affected shrimp out and dip it into the bowl for about 30 seconds. If it is scutarella, they should jump off of the shrimp.
