  1. Hi all, As the title says, I have some very small food for very small mouths, can I use this food as a substitute of Bacter AE to boost biofilm? I'm getting some AE soon but after the current berried female I have will most likely give birth. The food I have isn't being used, as my fish don't like it, or are too big. It's a very fine food, could barely be classified as a pellet. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, -Dripstopher Columbus

  5. Hiya Y'all! Dose any one have any info on Bio-Floc with ornamental shrimp? Quantities of Bio-Floc to use in nano tanks of less than 5 gallons? Has any one experienced deaths using Bio-Floc?
  6. Hi, Would adding more light help the biofilm grow faster or is the water temp and organic load more important factors?
  7. Hey guys, I am curious about the GlassGarten Bacter AE product. I have seen/read that a lot of people on here use it. As far as I understand, its main use is to increase the production of biofilm in the tank right? I was looking at the ingredient list and trying to compare it to something I already have (this product that I was adding to some homemade food). Do you think that this could be used in its place? Also, I would love for someone to sell me on why I should use it in the first place. Uses/benefits, etc would be awesome. Thanks
  8. Maybe i am a worrywart, but i always feel like i don't have alot of biofilm going on in any of my tanks. I am wondering if anyone has anything special they use or do to make sure the biofilm is more than enough for their inhabitants. Normally i dose each tank with bacter ae or bw shield once a week and after any wc's. My lights are timed for about 15 hours everyday. Anyone have any pointers or special recipes for really getting all your surfaces coated up with the good stuff?
