Galadrielp48
I have recently learned two of my three shrimp are snowballs not sexed, the third is an unknown variety of female who just dropped her eggs a couple days ago. The past two days the other two have been swimming circles around the aquarium. I tested parameters and ammonia is 0, ph is 8 but it’s always been 8, and GH is around 53ppm. They also have been molting successfully recently. Could the female be releasing pheromones already? Anything else in the water that could be causing it? The two flying around settle down for short periods to eat but then they get back to doing laps around.
OblongShrimp
Usually this happens shortly after a female molts and is ready to breed. Doesn’t sound like anything to get worried about.
