Glas Garten Bacter AE Dosage?

I have an 8 gallon with ~20 CRS and 10 Mischlings and a 4 gallon with 15 CRS.  What dosage should I follow for each?

for the 8 gallon I'd do half a scoop 2 times a week, for the 4 gallon about the same.  cant really over dose it but you'll be wasting it dosing like crazy.

better to use it in a rotation of other foods.

I use just a little pile on a tooth pick and I dose daily without issues, it's one of my favorite product's atm.

Thanks guys.  I also have some Shrimp Dinner Granules and Snowflake food on the way.  I think I will do AE twice a week, and SD twice a week and snowflake once a week.  Is that too much?

I guess it's a personal choice I maybe feed my shrimp once maybe twice a week. I use bacter ae daily in small amounts and small amounts of bio plus 2 times a week without issue.

thanks; i'll go with the "less is more" approach.  they get 2x a week shrimp dinner, 2x a week AE and once every other week snowflake treat

less is more for sure. bacter and snowflake wont foul your water like a food will. remember 90% of their diet is biofilm so if they are getting a majority of their diet from this they will become less interested in prepared foods.

that doesnt mean you till shouldnt use them.  berried females will want the extra protein found in foods.

As an aside, I've tried a couple of vegetables too.  My cherries love carrot and spinach.  My crystals didn't really like the spinach but tore up the carrot.

I dose AE twice a week and snowflake once a week since it last like maybe 2-3 hours tops in tank. Anything shrimp ignore is quickly eaten by Ramhorns 

 

zucchini works charms in TB tanks and Neos also loved it.
