neyjyooo
Hello, I live in NSW, Australia and I caught these shrimp in a large freshwater pond. I took the 2 largest home and they are now in a quarantine tank but there is something growing on the shell of a shrimp. Any idea what it is? I was planning on putting them in my main tank with neon tetras but now I feel like returning them and getting clean ones.
JamesHe
salt water dip may solve it. neyjyooo
neyjyooo
Thanks for the reply, I returned them to the pond today, didn't want to risk it. I will get nicer ones once the quarantine tank is cycled.
chibikaie
If you're going to get more from the same source, chances are they will be carrying it even if you don't see it right away. If you really plan on wild caught, quarantine, quarantine, quarantine! Go eight weeks on those guys, don't risk your tank. neyjyooo
neyjyooo
Yeah I've just bought some red cherry shrimp at $2 each, I may try wild in the future again.
