Jadenlea
I see that many of you feed kale. I was at the grocery store today and on impulse picked up a package of organic baby kale. What would you guys do to store it? With my zuchinni I just cut it into circles and freeze it (grow it in the garden) and pull it out by the slice during the winter when I want it. Can I do the same with Kale? put the box in the freeze and just drop in leaves once in a while? or freeze it and zap it in the microwave for a few seconds? I hate to waste it since its so expensive and I could never feed it all before it goes bad.
jumpsmasher
freeze it and zap it in the microwave for a few seconds That's my method for Kale and Baby Spinach. Just me sure you get the ones in the plastic box rather than the bags or rehouse the ones in the bag inside a sealable box as they are quite brittle once frozen. When i need to feed i just put it in a container of water and zap it for a few minutes Jadenlea
