OMG Aquatics
My Fire Red tank hasn't been molting lately. Possible causes? They are already about 4-5 months old and not breeding or molting.

jumpsmasher
How big are they? Shrimps need to molt to grow so if they have grown since you got them than you should be molting
OMG Aquatics
They are pretty big. About 1"
jumpsmasher
They are pretty big. About 1" Where they the same size when you first got them? did they breed for you before? Approx. how many males and females do you have?
Shrimplet
If they are big they molt very rarely, about once every two months, i would recommend getting younger ones.
OMG Aquatics
Where they the same size when you first got them? did they breed for you before? Approx. how many males and females do you have? They were about .5 inch when I got them. They haven't bred yet nor berried. Males to female ratio, I'm still having trouble figuring out which is male which is female.
jumpsmasher
Well since they have growth a bit than they have molten. I suspect you have all females. Females should have saddles by now. Females will generally convex bellies while are more concave. Males would also be less colorful; on standard red cherries this mean they would be almost clear. Where did you get them from? Quite common for many LFS to only get in all females as exporter only pick out the "red" ones when sorting and picking. Maybe post some photos Soothing Shrimp
OMG Aquatics
Looks like I have 4 females and 8+ males. Hard to get picture with crappy camera.
jumpsmasher
see here for a photo of a male red cherry shrimphttp://www.petshrimp.com/redcherryshrimp.php i would say your nitrates are a bit high as well especially if you only have 10 or so shrimps. How much do you feed? I would recommend doing a weekly water change until your nitrates levels go down
