Shrimp tank redo

Shrimp lover

Recommended Posts

Hi, I need help on what I should do for my 20 gallon long shrimp tank! I'm thinking about removing the moss sheet, cholla wood, and Indian almond leaf! I'm not sure though! I also want to get some fluval stratum substrate to add to my eco complete! I think my shrimp would like it better and it has a cleaner look! Last, I want to add the diy paintball co2 so my plants grow better! Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks :)

Wow, shrimp lover, that's a pretty drastic change you're contemplating!

How come? Tired of the look?

Just my opinion here: you're gonna take away three things shrimp love and replace them with something that they may not like too much. From what I have read here, they'll live In Co2 injected tanks but they may not breed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

What about investing is some plants that will grow for you without needing co2 injection? Something tells me that if you up co2, a stronger light is next on the list. They may not care too much for that either. Again folks, I may be wrong on this too.

I'm not an expert, just an addict....

What else would you replace the moss, cholla, and IAL with? If the IAL is too bulky, chop that sucker up, shrimps will still dig it.

What kind of shrimps are you keeping?
