Lyana
Well, I was oiling a peice of furniture and I washed my hands with soap afterwards. Then I suck my hand in my prl not long after to plant some plants and now I've lost two of the adults. I still have three berried and tiny babies walking around. The second one I saw was on its side and would crawl for a bit then lay on its side again. The others seem normal. Does that sound like something that can happen? And what kind I do so I don't lost all of my colony like what's happening to my TBs? JosephKex and MableBile
ElevateShrimp
are you running air into the tank? if so does the surface look like it is bubbling with a stronger film? If so, skim the top of the water then do a standard water change. Chances are that your tank will be fine because soap molecule is called a micelle and they are polar molecules, so they will react relatively quickly with eachother once they find some dirt. The danger for soap in aquariums is when the polar micelle soap molecule is unbound and attaches to the polar gills of aquatic animals, thus suffocating them
Shrimple minded
What about the oils or other compounds in the oil? I'm guessing you scrubbed well but furniture sounds like something that would be difficult to remove completely and some have may absorbed into your skin......... Lyana
Yeah, I don't notice any bubbles and I am running air. It could have been the oil too since it is hard to get off, I've done too 15% water charge since the first one died. Hopefully no more die.
