shrimpybuisness
Hi can someone Please help me remove these hard water stains that make my 20g Planted Tank ugly! I've read that you mix water with vinegar but I don't want to harm my plants or Shrimp and I feel that's not safe for them. I tried scrubbing with a tooth brush but it won't come out! Also have some really tough algae spots that are hard to scrub out! Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

aquariumlover10
if its calcium build up/hard water build up just put some pure peroxide on it and wioe off when done, inverts can be sensitive to peroxide so you may wanna do a water change or two if it drips in, wipe off with a clean paper towel
aquariumlover10
yeah that's calcium, I would honestly just use some distilled water and scrub and fill ur tank up to just the bottom of the rim

aquariumlover10
the white stuff is calcium caused by hard water, just take a paper towel and scrub it and then fill your take to the bottom of the black rim so you can't see it, its completely harmless just ugly
Jynn
If its a glass aquarium, you should be able to just get it wet and scrape it off with a razor blade, then fill the tank all the way up so you dont see it again. gillznglass
Lloydwang
use blank credit to scrape these things, this work better without stretching the tank
