Kikojaharo
The last group of cherries I received had a TDS of close to 300 in the baggie, while my tank is around 146. Since the numbers were so far apart, I drip acclimated down to the tank TDS over the course of 24 hours. Is this too extreme of a change? The shrimp are fine I'm wondering the protocol for such an extreme change in parameters.
Jaykidding
No it doesn't matter, the only time you do around a 2 hour drip or another single digit number, is when the tds is pretty close. Say your water is 245 while the water the shrimp came in is
DETAquarium
I always drip acclimate between 2-3 hours. I never measure the water within the bag I receive, simply because the numbers can be skewed. Simply because the amount of waste that could be produced increasing the TDS, even though when initially shipping the water could of been spot on.
