wego21 Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Hello fellow Shrimp keepers, recently my shrimp started to die off one by one without any sign of problem. I double checked the water parameters and they were fine. I have googled around and I found out that it probably was bacterial infection. I keep rili shrimp so I could see the internal organs having pink color that according to the posts is a sign of infection. my question is, is it necessary to tear down the tank after all shrimp died, but fish and plants are still thriving. Could I just put medication into the tank to kill of the bacteria and then buy next batch of rili shrimps and put them into the tank or they will get infected again? Quote
chappy6107 Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 it is always a good idea to make sure the tank is rid of the problem before putting more shrimp into the same tank. If you know what the bacteria in question was, then use the appropriate meds otherwise I would tear the tank down and clean it ohmiko 1 Quote
