Jamisondaniel33
Upon looking at my tank of CRS i noticed that the males are a lot more active and running around the tank like crazy chasing any female in sight. Is this a normal behavior? I read that it could mean that a female is berried and releasing pheromones but I'm not sure.
ClownPlanted
This is good and means you have a female that has freshly molted. When that happens the females give off a scent that is irresistible to males so the males swim around like crazy trying to find her to breed with her. It for sure is normal behavior. She is not berried yet when this is going on but most likely will be shortly once a male finds her. Congratulations on having a soon to be berried female. Jamisondaniel33
That's great news! Thank you. Is it normal for them to try and attack younger shrimp? It seems like they are ganging up on my OERBT's in particular.
ClownPlanted
If not much food they could be fighting over food. Try and put food down in a couple places so the young ones have a chance to eat also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
