OMG Aquatics
Interesting. Still reading .25ppm only. Should I get another kit? If yes, which one? API again?
OMG Aquatics
Ah it looks like API Ammonia test kit test for NH3+NH4. Just going to follow directions stated on Ammonia bottle and test for nitrites.
OMG Aquatics
Still no luck with the cycling... Ammonia reading either 0 or .25 ppm Nitrates and Nitrite 0 Phosphate 1-2ppm Dosing crap load of DrTim's Aquatics Ammonium chloride for Aquarium and I feel like it's this ammonia source that has the issue. I've read Amazon reviews on it and it seems like people are dosing a lot more than instructed because DrTim's went cheap mode and gave us crap. OMG Aquatics
After reading the instructions AGAIN. I actually have to shake the bottles like crazy and wait 5 minutes... Finally seeing 4 ppm Ammonia. littlebirdie
Subtletanks91
Seeeee. The directions are important. I've been contemplating getting some digital Hanna checkers
OMG Aquatics
Very interesting guys. I did a little experiment which others may have done already. My tanks were usually being cycled with just Stability. This time, I added a corner filter with Matrix filled inside. I dosed 1 full capful of Stability the first day and never used Stability again. I've been adding 2 ppm of ammonia everyday and ammonia/nitrite goes to 0 within 12 hours. I'm amazed at how well Matrix works. Substrate = Eco Complete Planted Black
