countryboy12484
Ok in a big shrimp colony, you will have random deaths.. Its inevitable but my question is at what point does it become a concern? I had 2 deaths in one day in my mixed grade cherry tank. I plan on doing a w/c tomorrow.. Just thought i would run this by everyone.
Soothing Shrimp
If the deaths continue day after day, you know you have a problem.
ANBU
If the deaths continue day after day, you know you have a problem. I had that problem before. I didn't know why tho. They were dying 1 per day.
Soothing Shrimp
Yeah. That's when it's NOT fun and you have to use your detective skills and educated guesses to figure out what could possibly be causing it. Kinda like being a doctor for your tank(s). countryboy12484
I can honestly say ive been lucky... Ive never had a mass die off. Just once in a blue moon ill find a death... Thats why two in one day worried me
mayphly
I hate when that happens. I gets you wondering. The first thing I do If i have a random death is a partial water change. Then test and observe. I've been pretty lucky so far. Soothing Shrimp

Soothing Shrimp
Yeah, I've never had a Malawa have a bacterial infection. I don't know if they are immune or what?
