monty703
what do you think of the bottom circulator bar from goaqua88 on ebay? It looks like it could work, what's you opinion on this and the use of undergravel filters...are they necessary in a shrimp tank, more work or just not needed? aquariumlover10
Ipersonaly wouldnt ever use a undergravel filter, i think they just creat more work and time and money wasted then if you got a sponge filter or a hob and just put a spmge over the intake, I know a lot of people use them withoutprobs but with sand they will never work, and you will need a ore powerful air pump for it then a sponge filter, this is just my $.2 but its up to you if you want to use them. EricM
you are better off with a true UGF style setup over the bar style. if you are going to do the bar style why not just DIY PVC? I also 100% use UGFs in all my shrimp tanks, BUT because i do split tanks the UGF isnt that big.
r45t4m4n
If using the UGF with sand, just put a layer of bio-media over the UGF before the sand, that will reduce the sand getting through. EricM
