Roborep1
So I got 10 Michling Shrimp from Puddles. I lost two small ones after acclimation. Water parameters seem perfect. My tank was way over planted and I was having trouble observing the shrimp for enjoyment or otherwise. When I first put them in they were very active. It's been a week or so and I noticed they were never really moving about. The temp is controlled by a Ranco thermostat and was set to 71. Came home from a trip and noticed tank was 61. The Ranco seems fine so I am assuming heater failed. I stole one from another tank and I bringing the temp up now. Everyone still seems alive Do you think this is the reason for low activity? Soothing Shrimp
For me, the lower the temp- the less active they have been.
mayphly
I think everything slows down the colder it gets. Are they more active now that you replaced your heater?
Roborep1
Yes. They are more active now. They still don't seem interested in any prepared foods. I have tried two or three types and nada. They are however cruising around tank, hitting the filter, the substrate and all. Prior it was like a bunch of shrimp on a log. They literally didn't move for days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
