Duff0712
Sooo MTS has hit me hard again and I got the gf's ok to get a new tank My overall plan for this tank is to use it for my mischling/blue bolt culls and let them run wild. I also want to add fish to this tank, which all will be micro fish never getting longer than an inch. So far my equipment plans -37g tank -2 sponge filters (can't remember size but large) -Glass lid (one of the rules for okaying the tank) -Fluval LED plant/freshwater 24-34" -Thinking 1-2 smaller HoB filters with purigen bags in it (I have 2 extra that I'm not using) -Brightwell Rio Cafe Fine (brown) for substrate -RO/DI with salty shrimp gh+ Goodies in? -I have some spider wood -going to try some crazy/fun stuff with cholla wood -lots of moss/anubias/Java fern/maybe some carpeters. Residents -mischling shrimp -blue bolt shrimp -some sort of neo? Not sure yet on fish but I have some ideas -clown killifish -red neon rainbow fish -pygmy corydora -micro rasboras (bridgitae/exclamation/strawberry) -Celestial Pearl Danio Things may change as i set it up but these are my thoughts at the moment, will be setting it up over the next couple weeks with my weekends and time off. Will post pictures as I go! -Duffy SurraGync, CharlesWex, Timothylem and 1 other
aquariumlover10
Awesome, I know some micro fish that should work, dwarf killifish are definitely safe and mine eats bladder snails. Also dwarf cities, maybe hatchetfish, ottos, and harlequin rasboras should work. Duff0712

Dendrobatez
Not really micro but you should check out hockey stick pencilfish. They are about 2" long maybe a bit more but have the smallest mouths I've ever seen on a fish, smaller looking than my chili rasboras and green neon tetras. They don't look extravagant but their behavior is cool, they are always angled upward looking at the water surface and the school always moves together as one

Duff0712
Super duper late update haha. Got the 37g running with shrimp and fish! Sorry for the crappy pic but it's all I have at the moment. Tank Residents: Clown Killifish - only a couple left, think recent heat got to em Chili Rasboras Corydora Habrosus (so cute) Red Neon Rainbowfish Dwarf emerald rasboras (danios) And the shrimp culls from my 12gl. Which seem to all be CBS/mischlings haha. Been going strong. Just waiting for the shrimp to start breeding in there. -Duffy aquariumlover10

I was going for a more natural look There was a small opening in the middle of the leaf litter to show bare substrate, but I think the fish and shrimp decided against it haha. aquariumlover10
