fishcrazy
Some of my blue pearls have a orangish color to them. Is it normal? I got these guys from two different people and some already had that coloration. It's not many maybe 5 out of 50. Is this coloration normal and should I keep them in. To add they still have their blue coloration it just has a orangey blue.
countryboy12484
I guess it all depends on weather or not you mind having orangey blue pearls Soothing Shrimp
Crazyfishlady
you could always put the 'orangey' ones in another tank and see if they get darker and breed orange (This comment is soothing's fault btw... ha ha)
Soothing Shrimp
LOL I think I'm slowly swaying crazyfishlady to my side of selective breeding. I've seen light colored BV look like that from time to time as well, fishcrazy. Crazyfishlady
Lyana
I think there is actually an "Amber" colored blue pearl but it's not available in the U.S yet. So maybe you should breed them out lol!
Soothing Shrimp
Yepper. IN Europe they bred a nice amber that I wish someone would import here. However since we don't have it, breeders will have to recreate it. Crazyfishlady
