High5's
Are you adding it to the substrate or using as filter media?
RyeGuy411
Well this is not any measurement but I use one reusable k cup filled with Fluval peat media on my 7.5 g tank and it keeps the pH at 5.6-5.8 Soothing Shrimp

High5's
I would say half a cup of peat in some sort of sachet, like super fine wedding vial netting sew up with fishing line or panty hose. Whatever the container is it must be permeable. You should hit 6.5 to 6.2 no problem using r/o water, mind you it may leach tannin, so pre soak to leach so you don't end up with black water. I do believe you could get the same ph lowering with using some drift wood, alder cone and IAL. I use all 3 and there no leach of tannin's crystal clear water if you pre soak to leach the tannin's.
