dao
Hello, So many of my caridina shrimp in one of my tanks are constantly moving their pleopods, as well as sometimes they simply stop and scrub their pleopods with their back legs. It seems like something is irritating them, however there are no deaths in the tank, and besides this strange behaviour they seem to be ok. In the very same tank there are also 2 neocaridina males which never showed similar behaviour. What can be the cause of this ? A video below - poor quality but you can see how the mosura and hybrid in the background are constantly moving pleopods even when eating. dao
TY, It doesn't seem to be connected with molting, however - some of these shrimps are behaving like that constantly for weeks now.
Maurice
Hi dao, I have sometimes noticed that some females, after dropping a clutch of eggs would fan like yours do for a week or two afterwards, as if they still have eggs.
