sparky4056 Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 I have just recently set up my first dedicated shrimp tank. Its currently housing about a dozen blood mary and half a dozen OEBT (all purchase from some of the members here). I set it up using tap water, which is actually right on parameter wise, but have now decided to switch to ro because I would eventually like to keep a TB tank as well and figured I should get the routine down on some hardier shrimp first. I'm just not sure how to switch it over without stressing the shrimp out. Should I drain the tank and then reaclimate the shrimp or just do my future water changes with the ro? Would doing an extra change a week to make the switch over quicker be too much? Any help would be appreciated. Quote
Nikolaus777 Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 I have added RO water as a top off or a small water change as long as the parameters were very close, especially Ph. Quote
