Greenteam Posted July 14, 2014 Report Share Posted July 14, 2014 I figured I add a simple DIY project I use to do when I had my planted tanks running. I would make my own Root Tabs when I was using simple substrate like Eco-Complete to provide nutrients for my rooted plants. I start with "00" Empty Gelatin Capsules and fill them with "Scotts Miracle-gro Continuous Release All Purpose Plant Food" It's very simple to make the root tabs all that needs to be done is open the empty capsule and fill with plant food. The capsules are made up of a top and bottom half that easily pulled apart. Once pulled apart just fill will plant food and push the 2 ends together. Now you have your own root tabs that can be pushed into the substrate to provide extra nutrients for your plants. Here's some links to the actual products I use to buy.
