Art by Stef*
WOW!!!!! Thatzalottashrimp!!! Why am I hungry all of a sudden? You'd have to hire a crew to sort those out, but wouldn't it be fun?
Soothing Shrimp
I'm impressed as all get out that the rili shrimp show little degradation!
OblongShrimp
I want to know how they seem to have so many females too. It doesn't make sense to me that they would just export females and almost no males.
Soothing Shrimp
I wonder if they move fems over to a different tank, and these are selected rilis?
davesays
Yup those were the pictures I was referring to. I'm not sure why neo imports are so female heavy either. Perhaps because females show better color and are more desirable? Or perhaps they holding males to prevent deflation from hobbyist breeding? Shrimp conspiracy theories =p
OblongShrimp
I am wondering if they have figured out some way to manipulate the ratio of males and females....sure would make breeding large numbers of shrimp a lot easier
Soothing Shrimp
If so, they've kept quiet about it. Not temp dependent as far as I know. Perhaps chems?
