sdaniels1077
Some of my new shrimp like to hang onto the top of my submersible heater and I've also seen them on the suction cups behind it. Are they smart enough to stay away from the part that gets hot? I don't know if there is such a thing, but do I need a cover for the heater? Soothing Shrimp
I can get burned from underwater heaters, but my shrimp seem to stay fine. sdaniels1077
JamesHe
never use cover for my heater. so it should be fine, as long as you have good circulation in the tank. sdaniels1077

Pika
Mine did that while the heater was in (will likely go back in when it gets cooler). I think they liked the extra biofilm and crud that accumulated there.
