Shrimpinista
I have a request to ship some CR, java fern and java moss to Puerto Rico. Does anyone have any experience with shipping to this location? Are there import rules that I should know about? Melissa
Soothing Shrimp
I don't think PR allows shrimp imports without govt paperwork. I could be wrong though.
Triton
I know shipping anything live over country borders can cause issues You would need the person receiving the package to possible have an import permit and I am not sure about the paperwork on your end. For what you are shipping it seems like a lot of work for a little return (just my $.02)
Soothing Shrimp
Even though this deals with plants, you really don't want to make an incorrect assumption on your end. You could always call the dpt in PR and ask.
Shrimpinista
I agree. It is just not worth the hassle. I am going to stick to the lower 48 states. Thanks for the input.
OblongShrimp
I had someone ask me recently about shipping to Puerto Rico too and as others have mentioned I think they have restrictions like Hawaii.
Soothing Shrimp
Lots of people from Hawaii will try to get people who don't know better to sell/ship shrimp to them. Not worth the jail time, IMHO. Does anyone know if Alaska is okay?
