mayphly
For example "Panda with backline"
Soothing Shrimp
I wonder if it would be similar to the skunk pinto shrimp?
Blue Crown Aquatic Trade
From my guess, it might be like the painted fire red or Golden shrimp with Golden back where their back have that line of solid color. So maybe something like this but the picture is a pinto though. mayphly

RyeGuy411
Is that stripe common in Caridina as well as Neocaridina? I have some chocolate shrimp that are dark brown with a deep red stripe like that.
Crazyfishlady
I recently found that two of my yellow sakuras have a lighter stripe down their backs, is this the same thing? Is this good or... ?? This is just one (and her reflection)
Soothing Shrimp
That's what the neon yellow strain looks like. All shrimp in that strain have that yellow racing stripe.
Crazyfishlady
oh great, so they sold me 'yellow sakura' that is actually a neon yellow? lol The jar they had them in made it impossible to really see what was in there
Soothing Shrimp
I doubt it. You see, neo occasionally have the racing stripe show up on some. Just genetics. This is probably what you have. The neons were just bred to have the racing stripe be consistent. BTW sakura usually refers to pigment on the shell. Looks more wood grainish. I've never heard of a sakura yellow. heh Creative name though.
Crazyfishlady
Well... learning more and more, I better tell them to stop writing 'yellow sakura' on the jar! ha ha So... it's just yellow and neon yellow neos?
Soothing Shrimp
Yeah. Although the most recent name change has been to call the neons: yellow backs. I should clarify myself that I've not seen a TRUE yellow sakura. I have seen the mislabel off and on.
