Soothing Shrimp
Ah, I bet you are not using a pc to view the forum, are you? For some reason links are goofy in this forum when using a cell for instance.

miwu
I might be just being dumb but how about 9"x11" lol? I have no clue about making a tank but theoretically that should work if we assume the glass has no thickness. Taking thickness (y) into account, each side can be (9-y)"x(11-y)" for four sides or have two sides that are 9"x(11-y)" and two that are (9-2y)"x(11-y)". The latter option might make it easier to glue. Again, I have no clue about building a tank (do you need to take thickness of the glue/silicon into account?) and I should probably stop giving weird advice... Dendrobatez
You will want the base slightly smaller so the sides sit next to it and not on top. Also with the height of aquarium you'll want 1/4" glass to be safe. So your cuts will be; 8-1/2 x 8-1/2 for the bottom 9 x 11 for the front and back 8-1/2 x 11 for the sides
Dendrobatez
Also you shouldn't have to take the silicone thicknes into account. If done properly the silicone will just be bonding the glass together and not adding any thickness.
