I would start looking in the betta section of Aquabid for a good list of the US transshippers. You can probably tag along on one of their orders and you pay them a small fee (for bettas it is like $5/fish) plus the shipping from the transhipper to you and they take care of the customs and whatnot. Definitely not worth it. I'm glad I didn't try anything funny. Paid more upfront but got things to the door safely and without any hassle.
