Jaykidding
My SSS crystal shrimp have been dying a lot lately, probably around 1 dying a day or 1 every 2 days. I wonder if it is from a bacterial infection, or when i cleaned some algae heres a picture of the algae. Please help me thanks
JamesHe
water temp? and other water parameters?
Citycode01
There is a lot of algae, nitrates could be too high. As James mentioned you need to give us all your water parameters first.

Jaykidding
What i just noticed in the test was that its not 0 nitrates it is 5.0 and inside the test tube has nasty tiny fluffy white stuff in the test tube. Does this mean a bacterial infection?
Jaykidding
If my nitrates are high how do i lower them to 0. I tried a 25% water change, same thing so should i take about all of it out?
jimko
Water changes. Clean out all the sponge media and filter in the water you are removing to keep some of the beneficial bacteria alive. Crank up the air pump and stones. I'd do more water changes more often. Feed less food only what they can eat in a couple of hours. Make sure the new water is conditioned properly.
