Gozaru
I have a fully cycled, heavily planted 10 gallon shrimp tank with a population between 80-100. I was wondering if I added neon tetras before the betta would it be okay? Edwardnah, JosephKex and MableBile
Soothing Shrimp
Only if you want to turn it into a fish tank. Most shrimp will be feeders for the betta at the very least.
sewoeno
add either of those fish and say goodbye to your shrimp. not worth it.
Gozaru
Are there any other small fish to the tank I could add?
aquariumlover10
you could try least killifish, mine didn't bother my shrimp.
RyeGuy411
Chili or exclamation point Rasboras, they will eat baby shrimp but not bother the adults and young. If your tank is heavily planted your shrimp might still breed but will be much more shy and you might not see them much. sewoeno
sewoeno
basically no fish are safe. if you don't mind them not really reproducing some chili rasboras like ryeguy said or i have some celestial pearl danios that are also tiny and beautiful. but yes they will eat tiny shrimp if they see them.
