Stiffler308 Posted August 10, 2015 Report Share Posted August 10, 2015 I am new to the shrimp hobby by a few weeks. I picked up some "Black Algae Eating Shrimp" at the LPS. I initially thought that these were just juvenile Amano Shrimp, but I believe that they are a different species. I was able to finally get a relatively good picture today, and I thought I would share it. They are currently about 1 cm long, and are mostly black. The one that I was able to photograph has a black head and thorax, striping down the abdomen, and a solid black tail. They enjoy hanging out in the Java Moss and hiding/feeding under a rock. From doing some comparison with pictures of Carbon Rili, I say it certainly could be them. Does anybody know much about them? I got them for ~$6 each, is that a good price?
