Any shipped shrimp via military post before? My buddy is stationed in the Netherlands and he's thinking about getting into the hobby if i send him some shrimp to try out.

Pretty sure you need an export license to do that.

In my experience it will be very risky using APO due to the time it takes packages to get there. I had some make it in little more than a week if I was lucky. Two weeks was reasonable. Some never made it.

Yea I'm familiar with the varying shipping times. I've been stationed and deployed overseas plenty of times, i was hoping the super hardy neos would be able to make the trip. I can't remember what exactly was on the shipping form but i was thinking of just mailing it as "pet supplies". I might start shipping shrimp to my buddies at deployed locations if its easy. Nothing better to raise morale than these little dudes, a way better shop pet than a camel spider, lol. Come to think of it i ordered sea monkeys and some kind of small horseshoe crab when i was deployed once, not sure if they fall under the "live animal" category though.

Hey, you can't beat a camel spider! They always made me laugh when they ran with their "hands" in the air.

Please check the legality of shipping shrimp overseas through the military post, I am pretty sure they still import paperwork if they wouldn't even accept them.
