I wouldn't. Nuvo's have a reputation of the glass shattering!

I own the 8.8gl and I love it but the nuvo comes with all of these (below) including the sump area for your filtration. All you have to do is fill it with bio-balls.

  • Mesh Screen Top with Clips
  • Built-in Overflows
  • Rubber Leveling Mat
  • 200 Micron Filter Sock
  • 8W 110v/60Hz 13-92 GPH Return Pump
  • Includes flexible hose and return elbow with directional flow nozzle

Oh that's a lot extras for the price. It sounds good!

It *is* tempting, but not if the glass might shatter!!!  (shudder)

Any glass will shatter. :D

Haha good point. Honestly for the price it's worth the risk and they should have a warranty :)

No offense to the poster but one claim about shattering and no explanation doesn't have me concerned, its 6mm low iron glass 1ml thicker than ADA tanks .I watched the videos Marine Depot had with the product and they look really nice. My problem is spending waaay to much money on shrimp last week :startle:
