Mr. F
So I have a Marimo that is about 6" (150 cm) across. I've found they grow about 5mm in diameter a year, so 150mm / 5mm per year = 30 years... Is it really 30 years old? I've had it about 1 year.
oem
That's quite a large Marimo. I see they get to 12" in diameter but had a hard time finding the oldest one.
Dluxeshrimps
was this purchased like this?
Mr. F
It was just a teeny bit smaller when I got it.
OMG Aquatics
I don't think the 5mm per year is accurate. Most stores and places advertise this size to be roughly 8-10 years old.
Mr. F
I've never seen ones this size in a store except for this one. It was anomalous.
