cdaJiv
Today I discovered several blue fry and my crystal tank, it had to have hatched from a crystal black that was recently berried. I have an 8 juvenile blue bolts and 2 Black Galaxy Pintos that we’re just added within two weeks ago and are still to young to have any impact on breeding. Anyone know what these could be? There is one in the back of the tank that I cannot get a clear picture of that looks very vibrant blue but has two white stripes like a crystal would... Shrimple minded
Perhaps your crystals are actually mischlings and you popped some BKK/pandas? They often look blue as babies (often magnified when the light is shining through them) but darken up as they age. Aside from that, do you keep any other blue Neocaridina shrimp that may have somehow transferred? Jamisondaniel33
cdaJiv
No I keep no Neocaridinas with my Caridina shrimp ever. I managed to get a few better photos. Are BKK pandas basically black w/ white stripes? Glorified CBS? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TheGlassBox
3rd photo, top center - is that a crystal black? It doesn't look red. Also in the 4th picture on the right...
Cleeon
yes, the photo give the answer, some people call them blue jelly shrimp maybe ? sure it from crystal shrimp descendant caridina cantonensis var. blue jelly ? that's normall, some people, I'm sure selling with the market name "blue jelly" or sometime "aura blue"

blissskr
Looks like a juvenile black king kong which are lighter and generally bluish colored when still small. I guess though there's always a off chance that it's a color mutation and could stay blue if you were truly lucky.
cdaJiv
There are also very deep black with two light blue lines where there would normally be white lines. But the Black is much deeper color and covers more area with the blue lines being a lot thinner than a normal CBS or CRS.
