vinniemabuna
Hi, can someone tell me if you keep nerite snails in your shrimp tanks? I read that they are docile with plants -fish shrimp is this true, how large do they get? tks
Valek
I have olive nerite snails. They won't eat live plants. They stay small, about the size of a nickel. Other species might get a little bigger. Excellent algae eaters. They don't bother anyone. chappy6107
AdvancedAquaculture
Nerites are my favorite snail both for freshwater and saltwater. They're amazing algae eaters, do not exceed the size of a quarter, and only breed in brackish water.
JAMarlow
I have tiger, red and yellow racer nerites. They don't bother any of my shrimp or the plants, but really chow down on algae. They are great additions to the tank cleanup crew. P.S. They also go bonkers for zucchini!
