I feed them blood worms every once in awhile, never really heard anyone feeding meat. They are cannibals if one dies so I imagine they would munch on meat. JamesHe Posted September 2, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 2, 2014 I knew shrimp would eat any dead shrimp in the tank. my particular question is: can we feed our pet shrimp with the shrimp we buy at grocery store? Greenteam Posted September 2, 2014 Report Share Posted September 2, 2014 When I first started keeping fish I had a cray fish in the tank that I gave it a piece of hot dog. It died a few days later so I don't know if it was the hot dog that killed it or the fact that I had no clue what the hell I was doing.
