jumpsmasher
My Black Tiger Shrimps have always been one of the favourite species in my collection; they breed true unlike Orange Eye Blue Tiger (OEBT) shrimps and since mine has some Royal Blue Tiger genes in them most of them has a nice blue sheer when view against the light. Another reason why they are one of favourites is the females that i have left are some of oldest and largest dwarf shrimps in my collection. My "Big Mamma" as I like to call her is around 3.5-4cm and even my oldest male is 3+ cm. They are generally quite shy and too active to get a good shot but last night after I fed them, they were quite social and hung around in the open for a bit so I grabbed my camera and decided to try my hands at shooting some video. Enjoy the shrimp porn! Best viewed in fullscreen at 1080p : ) My "Big Mamma" A couple of the other younger females and some juvies - warning very long video forgive my choppy camera movement, didn't have a very good tripod and still figuring out how to focus quickly and edit videos (there was lots of sections where it went out of focus or out of frame than i should have removed) Pika, Doc4PC2, Duff0712 and 1 other

randy
Thanks for sharing. The quality of the video is superb !! The 2nd video shows a white band on the tail, I thought that was an extreme BKK for a second. But in the video it looks like it's just the reflection. Sbarbee54
Did i send those to you by chance. I have a couple people in Canada that I have sent a bunch of those to..... I actually just reduced my BTOE colony down to 12 shrimp on my last shipment to a guy that flies in from Brazil. Now I can move them and start over and build them back up to the maybe 1200 I had at one point

jumpsmasher
Thanks all, even with the newer extreme BKK and Black neo's the BTOE remais one of my favourite of the "black" shrimps. Did i send those to you by chance. I have a couple people in Canada that I have sent a bunch of those to..... I actually just reduced my BTOE colony down to 12 shrimp on my last shipment to a guy that flies in from Brazil. Now I can move them and start over and build them back up to the maybe 1200 I had at one point I got mine from Alpha Pro breeders a couple years ago but they haven't really fldone much until a few months ago. I have around 60+ juvies now and more coming. For me having royal blue genes is a good and bad thing; i do get a lot of royal blue offsprings although I don't really consider them as such unless they stay a lighter shade. I won't mind getting a non-royal blue black tiger line to compare..if I had the tank to spare. I heard something is doing an order from Michael Nadal, eh Randy? Sbarbee54
Really, I have had red tigers around 1000, heck my fire red/ pfr I had maybe 2000 at one point you could barley see the bottom of a 30 gallon tank. Heck before my mass sell off in my TB and F1 mischling tank I probably had 1100+ I have sold 800 Mischlings and still have tons left and at least 200-300TB in it. My Pumpkins are around 800 right now if not more. But I have a order for 500 I am going to be filling in a month miwu

jumpsmasher
under good conditions and given enough space, I imagine that it shouldn't take to long to get you population up to the thousands. 10 -> 100 --> 500+ They increase exponentially if you get a large colony going.. My PRL's are getting up there maybe not 1000 yet but at least 500+ but i have separated into smaller tanks. I am waiting for the day when I put them in a 75 Gal with a chiller and let them do their thing : ) randy
