Washed my hands and didn't notice I had a cut on my hand. I put my hand in to drop the food onto the feeding dish and then noticed blood on my hand. Seriously, though, a few drops of blood is nothing. It's mostly water and some protein. You put more stuff in the tank when you feed. hey Posted September 23, 2014 Report Share Posted September 23, 2014 Oddly enough, blood can be fed to corals. Its just about the perfect size for a lot of sps and softies to eat. As for open wounds in aquaria, being safe and keeping the cut clean and keep an eye on it. Know what the symptoms of mycobacterium marinum and vibrio vulnificus.
