GDT78
Hi all, I have noticed my one berried cbs have stopped fanning the larvae/babies. Is that normal ? She has been berried for allmost the full 30day term ? Or did something go wrong ? I were only able to get a cell phone pic, quality not that great. GDT78
If one look closely from behind one can still see a few berries but she does no more fanning for movement or ventilation.
miwu
Don't worry. She will take care of it! Mine aren't fanning their eggs all the time either.

GDT78
Thanks for the responses. I have been breeding them for a while so I wonder if its not due to the female that's being very old. The younger berried females are fanning just not this old female. I'm sure thats also why her colour has gone so bad due to age perhaps. Here is a sample photo of what they normally looks like;
GDT78
Update: I got home today to a tank full of babies. So it looks like all is good. Thanks. miwu and Soothing Shrimp
ctaylor3737
Chances are she did it when your not looking. Sometimes a few hatch at different times. My cardinals sometimes it's a day or two they hold them. -Chris
