naiad Posted February 7, 2015 Report Share Posted February 7, 2015 Hello, I am new to shrimp keeping. I purchased some blue velvets as an impulse buy. I know I shouldn't impulse buy but I was so captivated by the little guys. I have them in what was a 7 gallon planted tank with some micro crabs. Some CR snails are making short work of the plants. I just can't seem to get them all out. Once I do I will add more plants. I am treating the shrimp for a bacterial infection after setting the water temp too high. First newbie mistake. Thanks to everyone who helped get me on the right track already. I hope to learn as much as I can on the site as I already want to turn an unused 30 gal into a shrimp tank but am waiting until I get a bit more experience.
