Shrimple minded Posted March 29, 2015 Report Share Posted March 29, 2015 I'm needing to purchase some silicone to seal a bulkhead on my RO wastewater collection vessel, but would also like the product to be usable for adding glass dividers should I choose to do so in the future. I've read mixed reviews on GE Silicone 1 and many speak highly of the RTV silicone line of products. Some sites state that All-Glass-Aquarium silicone is RTV but at a reasonable price point. Can anyone give guidance on what I should stay away from or what they would recommend? In your experiences, is it easier to manage in a "tube" or via a caulking gun? Greenteam Posted March 29, 2015 Report Share Posted March 29, 2015 GE 1 is what I use but the real key is time. Allow proper time to cure and you will have 0 issues. I leave it in my patio to cure for 2-3 days. If it has that strong vinegar smell let it sit a little longer.
